Agenzia04 is very pleased to announce a group show curated by Silvia Chiarini titled Play Graphic. The project intends to investigate a “graphic” point of view on the contemporary visual research presenting the work of four among the most interesting emerging Italian artists: Riccardo Baruzzi, Elisa Canducci, Stefano Mandracchia, Marco Samorè. Featuring the potentials of electronic technologies, digital, analogical, together with pattern, collage, serigraphy and all what is included today in visual arts “case”, in an artistic panorama that has no more defined limits, the show delineates ways to interpret the reality with the wish to upset the imaginary by playing with present, past and future. With this exhibition Silvia Chiarini opens the project “Summer Exhibition” grows out of the idea to present each summer a group-show curated by an artist who collaborates with the gallery and also to offer to the artists the possibility to express their creativity under a curatorial aspect.

RICCARDO BARUZZI Born in Lugo (RA), 1976, where he lives and works. SLIPMATS is the cloth or little-rug which has to be put down on the vinyl’s record player, with “slipmats” it is defined a cycle of ten oil on board titled “wild grass” which use the format of a vinyl having the same identical measures. These paintings can be hanged on the wall of your living room or take place on a beautiful old record player remained hidden somewhere in your house. 45.BAG is a vintage-bag for vinyl 45 records, inside could be founded old cawing glories for jukebox in an unusual appearance that must be observed with attention. In fact these vinyl are all painted and drawn and they are decorated with old stickers and cuts that disturb the correct performance of the thumbtack. SIMPATICISSIMO STEREO MUSIC CENTER is totally at the spectator disposal who is invited to play with it!

ELISA CANDUCCI Born in Bologna, 1975. Lives and works in Milan. Applying the potentially of the electronics digital technologies, she predisposes dynamic systems that can be modified by the spectator. The viewer is who get off to a sort of transformation of pictures, sounds or colours. He directly takes part in the work, becoming in somehow author himself. This is a kind of attempt to create for the spectator the perfect conditions of an experience connected to lightness and a playful dimension. The work of Elisa Canducci takes shape from an abstract pictorial research not bound in a predetermined project. The composition of heterogeneous images in the painting space is never close in itself, but opened to manifold possibility.

STEFANO MANDRACCHIA Born in Brescia, 1976, where he lives and Works. WALL PAINTING II grows out of a reflection on the history of the decorative painting. The artist proposes a synthesis of the two main themes of the mural painting: geometry and space. On the gallery’s walls are drawn with black adhesive tape, brick walls deformed by a perspectival vision distant from the real perspective or from the sense of a fake recognizable illusion typical of the “trompe l'oeil”. Each “wall” has a different vanishing point and this enable to make dynamic the orthogonality apparently static of the pictured bricks and also the static aplomb of the real gallery’s walls.

MARCO SAMORE' Born in Faenza (RA), 1964, where he lives and works. The work presented by Marco Samorè (Untitled, 2007) is a sculpture that follows the rules of a collage. As most of his works, it is characterised by an aesthetic impact that introduce not-finished elements together with more reassuring and easily recognizable elements, that enable us to familiarize immediately with the elements in field. Some of his installations present schematic traces and trails of references, as the artist leaves the missed parts to an imaginary completion on charge of the spectator. On this direction the artist combines abstraction and reality, through a dynamic structure from which appear to the fore an aesthetics extremely light, delicate and nipping at the same time.
